Vial seeks partners for major iron ore project

May 2016: Chilean businessman Gonzalo Vial is looking for partners to help develop what could one day be the country’s largest iron ore mine.

The Quince project lies 40km E of Port of Chañaral in Region III. The deposit was first detected in the mid-1990s when US copper producer ASARCO was running airborne magnetic surveys through northern Chile looking for IOCG-type deposits.
