Rethinking Vizcachitas

April 2016: Los Andes Copper (TSXV: LA) is taking a second look at its Vizcachitas project, one of the largest undeveloped porphyry copper deposits in Chile.

In 2013, LA published an initial Preliminary Economic Assessment based on drill results through the 2007-2008 campaign. That report, produced by engineering firms Coffey Consultoria y Servicios SpA and Alquimia Conceptos S.A. identified an indicated resource of 1.038Bt @ 0.434% CuEq, including 8.5Blb Cu & 281Mlb Mo and proposed a 176kpd operation with a 28 year mine life and an initial capex of US$2.9B.
