Making a market

At 09:45 on June 1st, Chile took another step towards developing a local market in mining stocks with the first trade of a junior mining company on the Santiago Stock Exchange. Santiago brokerage firm Negocios y Valores S.A. Corredores de Bolsa (Nevasa) sealed a trade between unnamed clients for 9,930 shares in Puma Exploration (TSXV: PUM, SSEV: PUMA) at CLP49.75. The deal is the first ever in shares of a company listing under the cross-listing arrangement between the Chilean bourse and Toronto Venture Exchange signed in March last year.
