Chile prepares for basic geology law

June 2016: On a visit to Australia, Deputy Mining Minister Ignacio Moreno visited the Drill Core Reference Library on the outskirts of Adelaide. The facility  contains geological samples from across South Australia dating back to 1880 and can be consulted by individuals and companies as they require. Run by the government of South Australia, it represents a critical source of information for the state’s exploration sector.

By the end of this year, Chile could be taking steps to implementing a similar tool.
